Day Three: Trains and New Friends and Disgusting Food

Today we caught the train to Glasgow. We met a really pleasant couple with their 18-month-old daughter, Zara. They both worked in computers and he was living in New Delhi. It was a surprisingly pleasant journey--I seem to be having a bit of luck travelling with young ones these days, thank goodness!

Upon arriving in Glasgow and walking to our hotel,  we headed up the street to locate a place where Glen ordered a handmade kilt outfit for himself. Gotta love those knees. It will be fascinating to see how it all turns out. I wonder what he's going to wear underneath. I bought him a special pair of underwear to go with his new outfit.

We wandered around for a while, stopping at The Butterfly and Pig pub for a drink. Of course, he ate the most disgusting battered and deep-fried black pudding on the street. Argh. We also had fish and chips and Glen also ate some kind of steak pie. We will certainly have gained weight when we return!
